‘More books. More Joy. More Life.’ was the central idea of the funding proposals we diligently drafted and the community activities we passionately organised in 2024. Because of the theme, we got the chance to meet and work with amazing local creators who embraced low carbon living.
.
Last March, we joined forces with our like-minded partners in the book bazaar held in Tseung Kwan O, where many bibliophiles came far and near to warmly support us.
.
Shortly afterwards in July, our first-ever low carbon living concept store, entitled Fairly Goods, came into operation at Lok Fu Plaza. Despite being a public space, many residents in the neighbourhood have appropriated it as their personal reading sanctuary, blissfully immersing themselves in books on the wooden stools. Through our product selection, sustainable lifestyles have become an effortlessly option within easy reach in the community.
.
The task of re-channeling quality used books to needy communities has always been the priority of Read-Cycling. Last year, we once again helped save around one million dollars in book expenses for schools and NGOs in need. Please find the statistics summary in the attached image.
.
Thank you all again for your kind gifts, partnering with us and volunteering for us in 2024. You are the key reason that we can continue to serve.
.
We look forward to working with more corporations/organisations/individuals in promoting the joy of reading and/or low carbon lifestyles. You are most welcome to PM or email us at enquiry@read-cycling.org for a chat.
.
Wishing you a rewarding Year of the Snake ahead!
